Damean Freas, D.O., is the Chief Executive Officer for KureSmart Pain LLC. He is board certified and fellowship trained in pain medicine. Dr. Freas attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and performed his medical residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania. His fellowship training was completed at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan.
In 2016, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed Dr. Freas as the Chairman, Maryland Board of Physicians. The Maryland Board is the third largest in the country in terms of the number of licensed professionals that they oversee. Dr. Freas is the youngest Chairman in the Board’s history.
Dr. Freas is listed as one of the “150 Pain Management Physicians to Know” by Becker’s ASC Review. He was also rated one of the “Rising Stars of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation” for Washington DC-Baltimore-Northern Virginia by Washington Post Magazine. In 2011, Dr. Freas was voted What’s Up Annapolis and What’s Up Eastern Shore magazine TOP DOC by his peers.
Dr. Freas specializes in intervention therapies such as epidural injections, joint injections, nerve blocks and EMG/NCV tests. Dr. Freas was selected as one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumer Research Council of America. He served as President of Maryland’s Chapter of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and is on the Board of Directors for Maryland Hall.
